Now Hiring: Tow Truck Operator

Duties

Towing vehicles to the shop, ensuring safe and efficient transport.

Maintaining accurate records of each towing assignment and vehicle condition for documentation purposes.
Inspecting and ensuring the proper functioning of towing equipment and safety mechanisms.
Performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on tow trucks and other vehicles in the fleet.
Following all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and protect both personal and public property.

Adapting to the changing day-to-day responsibilities, seamlessly transitioning between shop work and towing duties as needed.

Assisting with collision repair work when required, contributing to the overall team effort.
Helping with mechanical work and collision repairs, if applicable.
Detailing vehicles to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.

Communicating effectively with the team to coordinate towing schedules and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Providing excellent customer service and demonstrating a Culture of Care when interacting with clients.

Requirements & Qualifications

CDL not required, but a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
Preferred experience in driving tow trucks, especially in busy city environments like Pittsburgh, PA.
Mechanical, collision repair, and auto repair skills are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the collision industry and related skills will be considered a significant advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet (for those difficult tows).

I will identify external customers in order to deliver successful products with care, being open to constructive criticism (should I deliver a faulty product) to help myself, my department and my company become the best version of itself.
